Free Download: Nidhogg
It's finally here, Nidhogg came out as a bit of a surprise for pretty much everyone. Until a few days ago, this game was just a great hardcore fighting experience made just for indie games expos, but now that everyone has the chance to play it through Steam, we literally had to release our free download of it.
If you're looking for astounding graphics, mind bending scenarios, and epic soundtracks Nidhogg might not be the game for you. Though if you're here to find out what's the definition of the word "fun", you completely nailed it. The replayability guaranteed by the online feature went simply through the roof, and I can't see myself anywhere other than playing this game for several weeks now.
Anyway, if you don't know what's this all about, it's a sidescrolling 1v1 sword fight in which two players are respectively trying to escape from the level divided in 4 to 5 scenes. Killing is just something you're going to get used to, as in one single match, the death counter will most likely reach enormous numbers. And considering that even the single player is already cool enough, with our Steam enabled client it's going to have the same experience as everyone else!
Get our free download now, Nidhogg's players are waiting for fresh meat to slay!

I couldn't get it to run. I kept getting an error saying my steam_api.dll was missing. What can I do to get this game running?
ReplyDeleteThat's because your antivirus has probably deleted steam_api.dll in the process of installation. Worry not, it's a false positive. You have to whitelist of your firewall/antivirus the folder you downloaded as well as the installation one, then everything should run smooth.
Deletei try to install it but it says insert disc...what do I do???
ReplyDeleteI couldn't open it. In german: "Nidhogg.exe hat ein Problem festgestellt" In English: (free translation) "Nidhogg.exe has occured an error and have to be canceled". How to solve this problem?
ReplyDeleteIt's likely that your antivirus have deleted critical content at before you tried to install it. I would suggest to whitelist the folder you downloaded and then try to install once again mounting the image (.iso file) with Daemon tools
DeleteI had it installed, and it was on the whitelist of my antivirus. But i can't find any ".iso" files, when i want to mount them with Daemon Tools. Please help me!
ReplyDeleteOh, since you have successfully installed it that mean that you should have the image disk already mounted! Check your D: or perhaps E: You also need the crack which is in the folder named after it.
Deletewhats daemon tools??
