Free Download: KickBeat Steam Edition
It's rhythm time, it totally is. Today in fact we're releasing the updated version of a revolutionary game named in fact, after the digital distribution platform it got released on: KickBeat Steam Edition! Featuring new songs and an online ladder for the more hardcore players.
We're having a blast here at We Made Them Free with it, because instead of reusing over and over again the usual arrows to hit based on the song's beat, now you're going to defeat a horde of fighters with your Kung Fu moves. It's quite difficult to explain how a single stage works, but I believe that most of you know already how does it look like. Thankfully here's our free download, so you can get into it without having to pay a dime.
The graphics are surprisingly good, and the wide range of songs at your disposal makes the game suitable for anyone, I can guarantee you that. KickBeat Steam Edition is not only innovative, it's the best rhythm based game I've ever played considering how precise the synchronization turned out to be.
Get your free download right below as always, but don't forget to purchase it if you really love what you've got for free alright?

Free Download: Freedom Fall
Before we all got hit by the Nidhogg fever, we were planning to release yet another interesting game before. That's Freedom Fall, if you couldn't already tell. A wonderful game that however is worth just a few hours of gameplay, therefore, here's your free download of it!
The game's a platformer down-scroller that follows the basic rules of games such as Super Meat Boy or perhaps even our Electronic Super Joy. Dodge spikes, fly with the help of giant fans and collect screws floating around to increase your score. Despite the pretty look, Freedom Fall resulted to be quite a hardcore game if I have to be honest, though it's certainly winnable, eventually.
The score is based on your cogs count, minus 10 per death (which are going to become a whole lot once you reach the final levels), with the addition of an unspecified amount due to the time you spent to get to the end. The less time it takes, the better will be. Moreover, thanks to the very explicit sentences written on the wall, the story will be unveiled step by step while maintaining anyway a good portion of the mystery unexplained until the end.
Get your free download right below, and have fun descending the perilous towers of Freedom Fall!

Free Download: Nidhogg
It's finally here, Nidhogg came out as a bit of a surprise for pretty much everyone. Until a few days ago, this game was just a great hardcore fighting experience made just for indie games expos, but now that everyone has the chance to play it through Steam, we literally had to release our free download of it.
If you're looking for astounding graphics, mind bending scenarios, and epic soundtracks Nidhogg might not be the game for you. Though if you're here to find out what's the definition of the word "fun", you completely nailed it. The replayability guaranteed by the online feature went simply through the roof, and I can't see myself anywhere other than playing this game for several weeks now.
Anyway, if you don't know what's this all about, it's a sidescrolling 1v1 sword fight in which two players are respectively trying to escape from the level divided in 4 to 5 scenes. Killing is just something you're going to get used to, as in one single match, the death counter will most likely reach enormous numbers. And considering that even the single player is already cool enough, with our Steam enabled client it's going to have the same experience as everyone else!
Get our free download now, Nidhogg's players are waiting for fresh meat to slay!

Free Download: Continue?9876543210
Finally here we have something came out on Steam during the current year, and it's quite a weird one for sure! Continue?9876543210 will make you struggle in a decayed world composed by 12 areas that will be chosen randomly every playthrough. I free download looked mandatory for this, because despite its interesting look, you never know when it comes to buy such an abstract game.
And honestly, we loved it. In Continue?9876543210 you play as a videogame character who just died, though considering how PCs usually work, your being is somewhat lost in the RAM waiting to be finally deleted. The visuals are astounding, and you're going to be experiencing an adventure from a far 3D person point of view. Voxels aren't a thing for everyone, but they look so good here that I can't really see them as a detriment.
It's hard to get the hang of things at first, a massive amount of information is hard to handle when you literally have no clue, but the more you're going to stick with it, the more you're going to understand the basics of combat and level navigation. Anyway we have it as a free download, so why don't you try it right now?
I would totally get it just because of the title (and even because it's roughly worth 50 MBs of your hard drive!)

Free Download: Stick It To The Man!
Finally we found the time and the right resources to release this one, a joyful game that we were really hoping to let you try through our free download services. Stick It To The Man! came out on Steam in late December, and although it seemed quite "childish", I would say, it needed just a couple of minutes to change my mind.
It's a surreal puzzle platformer that offers a great adventure in an unlikely world made entirely of paper. The soundtrack, the graphics, everything is compelling at first sight, but the mechanics that are going to be introduced one by one during the first 20 minutes of gameplay can be considered revolutionary, other that truthfully fun.
A series of unfortunate events make yourself able to read everyone's mind thanks to a weird arm that grew on your forehead. It was meant to be the strongest weapon of the world before it came to you. Needless to say that Stick It To The Man, after the first chapters, will become much more serious, in fact, you're going to be hunted by the baddies of the game until somehow, you'll end up in space. Where supposedly, your story will end.
It may sound quite weird, but that why we're giving you the chance of getting our free download before even trying to buy it.

Free Download: Hammerwatch
Happy new year from all We Made Them Free staff! It's been a long half year but we can't really stop providing free games now that people seem really happy with what we're doing. Though with the lack of new releases, we decided once again to make a free download of a game that performed pretty well during the winter Steam sales. Which is Hammerwatch!
If you like hackin' & slashin' through hordes of filthy creatures that just want you dead, Hammerwatch is definitely something you want to download. It's a twin stick action RPG made in a beautiful pixel art that, however, doesn't make it feel like an "old" game. There's not a single second to rest, thousand of bats, roaches and other weird insect-looking creatures are standing before you, and beside the class chosen, all you're going to need is some hardcore dodging and an even more will of killing everything.
The multiplayer co-op version is even better, but will your screen manage to handle all the explosions that you and your friends will cause? The character progression doesn't include a huge variety of paths to take, but together with a clever gold looting system it feels anyway great to acquire any kind of upgrade.
I could really spend a thousand words explaining why is this game so enjoyable, whether alone or with a team, but since we have a free download right here, I suggest you to don't waste your time any longer!
