Free Download: Cube World

Here comes the next exclusive free download on WMTF: Cube World! Cube World is an RPG set in a colourful procedurally generated world that features multiple biomes to get questing in, from lush green plains to arid sand swept deserts and chilling snow plains, there is plenty of variation to the land when you’re not sailing across vast oceans to another continent.

It MAY look like another minecraft clone: well it's not, and you'll notice it very early in the game. First of all you'll have to create a character, choosing between different races and classes. Once you're dropped into a map, whatever comes next is basically up to you, starting from figuring out what to do. Here's a tip: don't try and fight animals. They're too strong for you, indeed, Cube World at level one resembles hell. Combat is basic: left click goes with a primary attack, right click a special attack that you can upgrade closing combos with your left clicks building up an attackmeter. You also have the ability to unlock special moves that can be used for offense or defence, and they become particularly useful against tougher enemies and bosses.

Loots are random, and this may be disappointing, but if you spend your time looking for ore you can customize your character and your equipment by adding extra cubes which add more material to the weapons or elemental effects. Of course, crafting system has a huge question mark on it, but it's not that hard to figure out even without a guide.

Exploring in Cube World is really a thing. There are many dungeons and mini challenge areas with enemies and bosses to fight peppered randomly across the world, and the challenges never end. Once you tried this in co-op with one or more friends, trust me, you'll have the greatest time. Also, it's on free download, so give it a shot.

Free Download: Rogue Legacy

Guys, here's another bomb in free download. Rogue Legacy. The review took me so much cause I got too busy grinding the shit out of this amazing 2D side-scrolling action - roguelike masterpiece.

In Rogue Legacy you're a fighter (you get to choose between lots of classes while you spend some gold in upgrades), or better, a family, and entire genealogic tree of fighters, running through a series of random generated castle rooms, killing skeletons, knights, zombies, flying skulls, floating casters, animated potratis and smashing furniture to collect gold to upgrade your family mason and abilities or recipes to craft new equipment.

Once you die, one of your children takes your place. This free download is addictive: everytime you finish a run, you get to spend all the money you collected, otherwise you know that you're going to give up your gold before enter again and start from scraps. But every run you're a little more powerful and you feel like "this time i can make it", with that 10hp you just upgraded or the new class you unlocked. You won't make it, but that feeling doesn't shut down: Rogue Legacy is so rewarding because you feel like you're making progress even in failure, yet it never ceases to be challenging.

Every new hero has randomized traits that can either buff (fore example giving you mana every time you kill something) or nerf (for example by forcing you to play with your visuals upside down) the class you're playing, or, you can be gay. Or bald. Or both.

Rogue Legacy is simple yet deep, easy to pick up yet hard to master. Even when you defeat all the bosses the game will still give you a good run for you money, this literally. It's in free download here on wemadethemfree, so pick up a hero and start scavenging that castle!
